Auckland landscape art work

Auckland landscape is a art work of Auckland city. We paint the sunset with 3 colours Red Orange and Yellow. And the sea 2 colours blue and white. And we did the grass with 1 or 2 colours gold and green. also we tried our best to cut out a paper of auckland city and glue it on tight enough to stop it from coming down or falling down. And we did some painting that we did was very well. And very good and clever also it was a lot of hard work.

We always wash our hands after we finish painting and dry them when we are done washing our hands

Biosphere Diorama

How our Biosphere Caters for Human Needs

Our trees give us oxygen and our water room cleans water for the trees, the plants, the animals and for humans. We get our food from the chickens and the garden, as well as milk from the goats. We sleep in the bedroom and socialise in the living room. We need to keep warm, so we have wool from sheep to make blankets, clothes, etc. Our bathroom is for cleaning ourselves and for some privacy. The storage room is for all the food and materials. Cooking is for the kitchen, where part of the food is for cooking.

My Reflection:
I enjoyed making my biosphere. We used milk boxes to make our biosphere
and we folded the milk boxes to make a four level biosphere with a garden. We made double trees. Our diorama showed where the water was coming from.
It also show's where everything goes.
It was tricky to cut out small plants.
Painting the outside of the biosphere was fun.
I am proud of my biosphere
I was in a group with Teryn and Rodolfo.

Diary post T2 W8

The last fortnight I have been learning about football you can  kick the ball and pick up the ball and throw the ball when someone from the other team kicks the ball I throw the ball back to the other team they kick it back to you. And the other team kicks the ball back to you. And if you're team  is out they win. If the other them is out you're team wins.

And I think that were the champion's for a while. And if we lost than the other team were the champion's for a while and they get a prize and they win forever and if they lose then we win forever.
And if it is a tie that means both teams are the champions for a while.

And only one team wins that is my team I am so proud of my self. And my Mum and Dad was so proud of me.

Term 2 Week 7

                                                                         Terrific Tuesday
On Tuesday we have Terrific Tuesday.  Every Tuesday we go to different classes for stuff for Terrific Tuesday. We go to vintage games, science or art and other things. At vintage games we can play any game, like connect 4 or Chinese checkers or twister or monopoly.  Connect 4  is a challenge  and you have to put 4 in a row up  and down, sideways or diagonal and if you're done one game , you go to another game and a new game  When Terrific Tuesday ends we go back to our own class.  I enjoyed this Terrific Tuesday because it is a fun day and I enjoyed games.

Grid Value Portrait

WAL about value in art which is how light and dark something is.

Process;

We learnt about the artist Chuck Close whose pictures were made up of tiny squares.
First I took my pencil for a walk. Next I filled the space with patterns to show dark and light. If I put patterns far apart it looked light. If they were close it looked dark.
Next I had to learn how to enlarge. We practised enlarging a picture using squares. To make a picture bigger I had to make the squares bigger.
I had a photo of myself and I drew squares on it. Next I drew big squares on a big piece of paper.
I had to follow the squares to draw myself then I had to shade to show dark and light.

The tricky part was to draw different patterns.

My favourite part was when I could see my face coming.

Peer Mediator Video

WALT use the Peer Mediator Process

My Reflection

In our movie clip Keiran was fighting with Mikey for the ball. I was the Peer Mediator and I listened to the problem. We decided to share the ball and play together. We shook hands and the problem was solved.
I learned that sometimes another person can help solve problems.

Story Telling

During our Te Tuhi workshop "Creative Stories" we learnt about the different ways a story can be told. We explored our story "The Lorax" through role play and then created our own poster.

I found it hard to draw the bar bar loots.

I found it easy to draw the trees.

Next time i need to work on drawing more things.

Blended Giraffe

I had to practice using different line and blending techniques to create a realistic looking giraffe. I found it easy to follow the teachers instructions to create the giraffe shape. It was difficult to keep all the parts in perspective. Next time I will try harder to use blending to show dark and light.
