Landing a job

I was in a play called Landing A Job. It was about a parrot who doesn't like working for the Pirate Chief. We were learning to speak out to the audience on stage. I had to speak nice and loud. I had to act like a pirate. Or a parrot or a seagull there like birds who lives in the sea. I want to act like a pirate chief. Pirates can hunt for treasure. Treasure is a shiny peace of gold coins. If they found gold treasure they are rich.

Easter egg Hunt

                                              We went to the auditorium for the easter egg hunt on
                                                wednesday then we had to take a clue that was paper and some teams                                                       have a bit of trouble finding an egg that was gold with letters behind
                                                    it can be any letter behind an golden egg that is made of cardboard
                                                       it can take longer to be finish and you can pear up with teams

                                                           from other year 6 classes. And at the end we each got a                                                                               chocolate egg each.

I was learning to make connections i think i found it  easy  because it helped me  how Carl was feeling of the guitar he was sad because he worked longer.

Learning to make Inferences

My Reflection:

I am learning to take notes and write facts.

I find it tricky because the experts spoke quite quickly. But I did answer the questions with the correct answers. 

I have learned lots about what to do in an earthquake. I am still talking with my parents about our emergency plan.

Geohazards Reading Quiz

My Reflection:

I did a reading activity today about geohazards with a buddy and after we read about the geohazards in NZ we did a reading quiz.  We scored 100% so this meant that we got all the 10 questions right.

 I read the sentences with Mrs Douglas but I answered the questions correctly by myself. I am getting better at making inferences.  I am learning to find the clues to help me answer the questions.

I did really on this reading quiz that I did on Learnz. It was about the animals on the Routeburn track.  I kept going from the quiz to the text.  I liked doing this.  We are learning to find specific information in a text.  I did to match words in the question with words in the text.

Summarising The Dragon who had the Measles

For reading we have been learning to summarise the text. We have done this by using the who, what, where, when, why and how questions. The book we were reading was called The Dragon who had the Measles, it is about a dragon who has measles and gives them to the princess.

I found easy to write things.
