My School Report

My Reflection

I was doing a school report  to show how much I think that I have learnt in year 6.
It's a bit strange that I have to write a school report because my teacher usually does it.
It was fun saying nice things about myself.

Auckland landscape art work

Auckland landscape is a art work of Auckland city. We paint the sunset with 3 colours Red Orange and Yellow. And the sea 2 colours blue and white. And we did the grass with 1 or 2 colours gold and green. also we tried our best to cut out a paper of auckland city and glue it on tight enough to stop it from coming down or falling down. And we did some painting that we did was very well. And very good and clever also it was a lot of hard work.

We always wash our hands after we finish painting and dry them when we are done washing our hands

The three hairy pigs

The solar system

The Planets circle around the sun . They orbit only 1 way. There used to be 9 planets but one is smaller and it is a dwarf planet called Pluto. Now there are 8 planets Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune. We can't live on Mercury because at day time it is too hot.
We can't live on Neptune because it is made of ice. Ice makes it cold

Biosphere Diorama

How our Biosphere Caters for Human Needs

Our trees give us oxygen and our water room cleans water for the trees, the plants, the animals and for humans. We get our food from the chickens and the garden, as well as milk from the goats. We sleep in the bedroom and socialise in the living room. We need to keep warm, so we have wool from sheep to make blankets, clothes, etc. Our bathroom is for cleaning ourselves and for some privacy. The storage room is for all the food and materials. Cooking is for the kitchen, where part of the food is for cooking.

My Reflection:
I enjoyed making my biosphere. We used milk boxes to make our biosphere
and we folded the milk boxes to make a four level biosphere with a garden. We made double trees. Our diorama showed where the water was coming from.
It also show's where everything goes.
It was tricky to cut out small plants.
Painting the outside of the biosphere was fun.
I am proud of my biosphere
I was in a group with Teryn and Rodolfo.

Treasure chest net

Net's are 2-d shape's. When we fold the 2-D shapes they are 3-D shapes.

I started by making a cube out of clicker squares.   Then I unfolded the cube until it was a 2-d shape.

To make the treasure chest, we used paper, protractor, ruler, pencil, scissors, and glue.

We had to draw a net for the chest and  one for the lid. Then we cut them out and folded them. Then we glued them together.

                                                         My Reflection

I have learned about nets. I've learned
to use a protractor and ruler to make correct angles.
I found it tricky to rule the correct angles.
I found it all hard because the paper at the top kept bending.
I liked folding up the squares to make a 3-D shape.
